Semiotics imagery Blog task 4

Semiotics in imagery is a study of images and symbols and finding their hidden meaning using the two types of semiotics denotation seeing something as it is and connotation seeing the hidden meaning of the image.

For example this image shown below is an example of semiotic images.

 

This image is showing both the denotation and the connotation. The denotation of this image is showing what the image is a picture of a beach.

While the connotation of this image is scene of relaxation, a stress free environment. The connotations of this image are different to everyone depending on how their opinion of the image and what the image shows them. Most people take into account the camera angle of the photo what position is it how much of the image can they see and how they see the image.
